Why After School Classes Matter More Than Ever

In today’s fast-changing world, the classroom is no longer the only place where real learning happens.

Children are naturally curious. They ask questions, explore ideas, and experiment with what they see around them. But often, traditional school schedules don’t give them enough time—or space—to truly dive deep into topics like coding, robotics, and science. That’s exactly where after school classes come in.

And at Beyond Apogee, we’ve built our after school programs to do just that—give young minds the room to explore, create, and build real things.

After School Classes At Beyond Apogee

Why After School Programs Are Essential in 2025

The world our kids are growing up in is full of technology. From smartphones and self-driving cars to AI-powered apps and space exploration, the future is tech-heavy—and full of possibilities. But to participate in that future, kids need to do more than just use technology. They need to understand how it works.

That’s where after school classes help in a powerful way. Unlike the regular school routine, after school learning allows students to:

  • Learn at their own pace

  • Work on hands-on, project-based activities

  • Follow their personal interests

  • Collaborate with others who are just as excited

  • Build confidence through trial, error, and success

In short, these programs build problem-solvers. Not just students.

Why Start Early with Coding and Robotics?

You don’t have to wait until high school to introduce students to big ideas. In fact, the earlier, the better.

When kids begin working on coding, robotics, and STEAM projects from an early age, something amazing happens. They start thinking differently. They begin to see patterns. They try things out. They ask better questions. And most importantly—they learn how to fail and try again.

For younger kids, platforms like Scratch and SajiloBot make coding playful and visual. For older students, tools like Arduino and SajiloPython give them the power to build real applications and devices—just like engineers.

Inside Our After School Classes at Beyond Apogee

Every weekday (Sunday to Thursday) from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM, our office in Golfutar comes alive with activity. It’s a space filled with buzzing ideas, curious questions, and hands-on creations.

Here’s a glimpse of what our students are doing right now:
Students working in Beyond Apogee's After School Classes

SEE Graduates: Building Smart Robots and Coding Arduino

Our recently passed-out SEE students are not sitting idle. They are deep into learning Arduino programming, and many of them have already started building autonomous vehicles—robots that can follow a path or avoid obstacles on their own. With each wire they connect and every line of code they write, they’re getting one step closer to becoming real-world innovators.

Grade 9 Students: Creating Games with SajiloPython

One of our Grade 9 students is currently designing a game called “Flappa Bird”—his own creative twist on the classic Flappy Bird game. Using SajiloPython, a kid-friendly game development platform we created at Beyond Apogee, he’s bringing his ideas to life through code, logic, and gameplay design. It’s fun, it’s challenging, and it teaches far more than just how to code.

Grade 5 & 7 Students: Exploring with Scratch and SajiloBot

Meanwhile, younger students from Grade 5 and Grade 7 are diving into Scratch and SajiloBot projects. Whether it’s making animated stories, building obstacle-avoiding robots, or lighting up LEDs with their first block of code, they’re learning by doing. And they’re loving every second of it.

It’s More Than Just Classes. It’s a Movement.

At Beyond Apogee, our after school program isn’t just about ticking off skills. It’s about giving students the space to think, tinker, and thrive.

We’ve seen shy students become confident presenters. We've watched confused learners become creators of working robots. And we’ve witnessed the joy on their faces when their code finally works, their game runs, or their rocket flies.

Final Thoughts: A Head Start for Tomorrow

If we want our children to be ready for tomorrow, we need to give them the tools today. Coding, robotics, and STEAM education are not “extra”—they are essential. After school classes like ours give children the chance to apply what they learn in school in ways that are practical, personal, and powerful.

At Beyond Apogee, we’re proud to be part of that journey for so many students. And we’re just getting started.

From Curiosity to Leadership: Saroj’s Journey at Beyond Apogee

I’m Saroj Tiwari, originally from Annapurna-01, Phallapani, Kaski. I’m a Physics student and an Astronomy enthusiast, currently pursuing my Master’s degree in Physics with a specialization in Nanotechnology.

Since childhood, I’ve been deeply curious about the technology that surrounds us—the science behind it, and its potential to shape the future. That same curiosity led me to Beyond Apogee, where I was immediately drawn to their vision of planting the seeds of innovation in young minds.

Through my time here, I’ve learned to build small robots, work hands-on with electronics, and program microchips—skills that are not just technically valuable, but also incredibly rewarding. Beyond the tech, I’ve also grown in project handling, problem-solving, and mentoring students, which has helped me develop strong communication and leadership skills.

As I now step into the role of Project Manager, I look forward to carrying out my responsibilities with dedication and purpose—contributing meaningfully to the mission of Beyond Apogee.
